Since days, I was wondering how long this stormy, rainy and grey weather will continue?
Last Monday there was no creek left. The Kleine Beerze, which I photograph regularly since six years, was flooded and not a little bit. Unfortunately my first opportunity to visit this area was on Wednesday morning when a big part of the water was already gone. On some lower parts, like this entrance on the photo, still plenty of water left.
Due to the heavy wind it was a challenge to get a sharp photo; my tripod and camera were moving a lot. A few minutes after I took this photo, it started raining cats and dogs and I had to run to my car..... and I was really wondering why Petrus is sending so much rain down to earth at the moment.
I returned the same day in the afternoon but a few minutes after I arrived, the blue sky with white clouds disappeared and again I had to deal with all shades of grey. For 2015 I had the plan to search in this area for the caterpillar of the Queen of Spain Fritillary but I guess, that no caterpillar survived as the larval food plant is growing near the creek.
@Birgit: thanks for the lovely title!
