Today I added a new chapter Holy Love (portfolio) and this photo is a part of this project and for me it represents the Christmas Thought. The candles, which are on the inside and light up this window detail, are the linking pin between life and death, healthy and sick, rich and poor, happiness and grief, love and loss .......
My very special thoughts go out to two dear colleagues who suddenly have to fight for their life, each in an other way. Their situation shows that life is precious and that every day is a gift!
I wish you all Merry Christmas – Prettige kerstdagen – Frohe Weihnachten – I will be back in 2012.

...... a lot of life can be found on the Highland Cattle’s excrements. Before the immense rain started on almost all elderly excrements little orange fungi were growing. Last Sunday morning, after some night frost, it was the perfect opportunity to search for this fungi (which were hard to find due to the disturbing rain and hailstones) and other plants which likes this special ‘Highland’ dung. Unfortunately, yesterday the Highland Cattle had brought to their deer yard.
She looks big and she is big, this lady from a group of Highland Cattle. Actually I had a photo in mind with a lower position but I did not have the courage to lie beneath her….. although this cattle is very friendly and shy, I wouldn’t take any risk. Unfortunately, this probably will be one of the last photos of this cattle as they will be captured and taken away soon.
More photos of this lovely creatures can be found at portfolio -> Kleine Beerze.
As I’m triggered to capture the relation between nature & human influence I had a photo in mind with the group fly agarics and passing cars. Unfortunately the red in their caps vanished very quickly and every day the process of decay was more visible. One foggy morning I had some luck but the sun was rising too quick and the fog disappeared within a few minutes and, not unimportant, the colours of the cars were very dull. Why 90% has a black, dark blue, white or silver car? So here is my advice, buy a pink, yellow, orange, red or lime green car!! That’s very nice for photographers who like to photograph mushrooms near highways and roads!
