2015 was from the personal view a great year with a lot of beautiful nature encounters, nice trips and meeting very friendly people. 2015 was also a year with a lot of troubles in the world due to the actions of the ISIS and the stream of refugees. Since the invasion of Iraq in 2003 more than 1.300.000 million people (mostly civilians) got killed in this terrible war which is still going on. Every day a lot of innoncent people die! Refugees are the 'output' of war and a destroyed country. Why are so much European and American people against the coming of refugees? Why nobody of them is asking who started this war, who's economy is doing well due to this war? Why there is no protest to stop this war? Why the opposite is happening right now? These refugees are people like you and me, refugees are people who were fine before the war started, refugees are people who need help. Soon it will be Christmas, a traditional and religious celebration commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas is associated with: family, humanity, charity, sociability, kindness, fellowship, warmth, empathy and sharing. The film 'A Christmas Carol' reminds us every year where Christmas is all about.....so do not forget the people who need help! Since one week they are back on the lake nearby, the 'little' swans. Due to a very busy period at work, I had no opportunities to visit the lake or to photograph at all. I'm longing for the short holiday between Christmas and New Year but without freezing temperatures and ice it will be hard to catch them with the camera as they will swim away as soon as I enter the lake area. Looking at the weather forecast for the next two weeks, there is no sign of Father Winter at all. This photo is taken in January durig the blue hour and just before the sky exploded pink and orange (see my blog from January).
