Actually I planned to publish something else today until the news reached me that a colleague passed away in a terrible accident. One second on the wrong place and her life was over. My special thoughts go out to her family; especially to her children.
Last week I visited ‘my’ chapel to enjoy the silence and to light some candles for my soul-treasures. In a few days I will return to this chapel and burn a candle for her and hope that she will become a guardian angel for her children!
Perhaps they are not stars in the sky
but rather openings where our loved ones shine down
to let us know they are happy

When I was a little girl (10 or 11 years old), I regularly visited an old church in Berlin as they organized a lot for children. The stories told in combination with the atmosphere of the building fascinated me and that fascination never disappeared. In the southern part of the Netherlands (where I live now), in the late Middle Ages a lot of small chapels are built which survived the wars. Yesterday, when the light was beautiful and the oaks leaves were red I had no camera with me so this morning I came back. The chapel is very small but it’s a treasure as the quietness and feeling of love for all the lost people captured me…. I felt the connection between life and the meaning of life! What a beautiful day!
Imagine: sitting here and listening to Birdy's 'Skinny Love'. Poetry for lost love & people.
Jibt dir dit Leben mal een Buff, denn weene keene Träne. Lach Dir'n Ast und setz Dir druff und baumle mit de Beene.
