Erebia ligea - Arran Brown - Boserebia - Weißbbindiger Mohrenfalter
The ground colour of the upperside is dark brown with a broad brick-red post-discal band on each wing. There are three or four eye-spots on the forewinng and three on the hindwing. The underside of the forewing resembles the upperside but on the underside of the hindwing the orange is reduced to narrow rings or missing. A conspicuous white streak runs back from the frond edge of the hindwing. Flight from June to August in rough grasslands usually between sealevel and 1500 m. The larval foodplant are a wide range of grasses and sedges.
