Polyommatus damon - Damon Blue - Witstreepblauwtje - Weissdolch-Bläuling
The male upperside of the male varies from pale shiny blue to deep metallic blue with a brown border. The female is brown, sometimes with a few blue scales at the base. Both sexes have white fringes. The undersides are greyish brown for both sexes but the female is often more browner. A prominent white streak is running through the centre of hindwing. Flight from July to September in grassland from 400 up to 3000 metres. The larval foodplants are sainfoins.
