Euphydryas aurinia - Marsh Fritillary - Moerasparelmoervlinder - Skabiosen Scheckenfalter
The upperside is ranging from bright orange to brick red. It's heavily marked pale-yellow spots and sooty-black cross-lines. Usually there is a orange-red band on both wings, the forewing contains small yellow spots and the hindwing a row of black spots. The underside is orange with pale spots and a broad cream and orange bands. Flight from April to July in open and dry areas as well as wet ones. The larval foodplant are scabiosa species like Devil's-bit Scabious.
