This will be my last blog for 2012 ...... a year to remember as for me it started with a bad health condition and I learned that I must not put off my dreams! 2012 was a year with nice encounters, sad farewells, new friendships, difficult decisions, new challenges, forgiveness, respect, love and peace, peace with myself and peace with decisions of others. 24773 and 15167, although I’m not sure if you will ever visit my website, I would like to let you know that although I miss you, I am very thankful that you both made the right decision as I am fulfilled with happiness, freedom and peace. Sometimes you only know what loves means when you let it go. I wish you and your families a happy and healthy life! 2012 was also a sad year as again I lost dear colleagues and some others are still fighting for their life. From the bottom of my heart I wish them all the best and that they all may conquer this fight! I wish you all a lovely & peaceful Christmas and the very best for 2013! Enjoy life, cherish your beloved ones and do not put off your dreams! If you never try, you’ll never know!  Tears stream

 This is a female of the Winter Moth (Operophtera brumata) which found a suitable place on my window. This species is active at night throughout the winter from October to December. The female is wingless and the male is fully winged and flies strongly to find the female. After mating, the females lay their eggs in tree bark crevices or in other sheltered locations and all adults die.....a new generation will be hatch in spring and a new circle of life will start again.

Today it was my first day of to study and I was very happy that it started snowing early in the morning. I went out and searched for some colour and I was really surprised that I found a flowering Sweet Violet (Viola odorata); normally they are flowering in March.
Unfortunately within two hours the snow passed over into rain and the beautiful white world transformed into grey again. Time to open my study books again! |
