In my blog from 16th November ’12, I mentioned the meaning of friendship on Facebook. I explained that the quality of friendship counts for me and not the number of friends. But due to the fact the deleted people never read my blog some invited me again.....and now Facebook reached a new kind of climax!
Let me introduce you to my new friend Fay:
I hope that Fay is a clever dog and that she will not enter every day the share & like button for dog food, dog baskets and dog dolls as there is nothing to win. And I hope that Fay has no daughters, sons, brothers, sisters, mother and father which has to be remembered monthly and that she will not sending me invitations for games and birthday calendars.
Mr Sugarmountain, Facebook is covered with too much useless information; so when the first cat invites me, I’m gone!
I’m not sure when exactly it started, but one day I was invited on Facebook by an other nature photographer to be ‘friends’ without knowing this person. In the beginning I was reserved in accepting this kind of ‘friends’ but soon I received more and more requests. With some of them I have (or had) some digital contact but the majority I do not know and they never ever responding or reacting to anything.
So what is the meaning of being friends (even on Facebook)?
If you are one of the photographers which I deleted or will delete, please do not take it personal! For me it’s the quality of friendship that counts and not the quantity.
