Happy New Year!

After a short night, thanks to the karaoke party of one my neighbours, I enjoyed the first walk with Wanda of 2017. It was cold and the outer trees of the forest were still frozen/white. Unfortunately I missed the wonderful white winter days completely. During this first walk since days, I enjoyed the sound of silence and of some birds and I was longing to visit one of my favorite area's soon again.

This (unedited) film shows one of the last groups of Greylag Geese which were leaving the lake very early in the morning. During my visits the first groups were leaving the lake around the time I entered the area, more than one hour before sunrise in complete darkness.
Some groups were flying just a few meters above my head.......what a great sensation!
