After a very busy and energy-guzzling week I am too tired to go out and to catch the last autumn colours. As the next two weeks will not bring any changes I'm enjoying the photos of the trips which I made this year. When I visited the Luberon area, I 'met' a lot of Hoopoe's and Golden Oriole's. Unfortunately the Hoopoe's were very shy and kept a big distance.....but they came down; the Golden Oriole's were only singing high in the trees.
Last week my plans for next year changed unwillingly; instead of the Luberon area I will visit the Var region and instead of an accommodation with 2,5 hectare I will have a 5 hectare garden (that's until now the only positive change).
As I visited the Var region in the early '90s and in 2000 for the last time, any suggestions for butterfly-spots and old rusty car-wrecks are welcome!
