A real puzzle!

The photo above is taken on 18 July in Austria at about 2200m.

In Dutch these kind of skippers are called 'puzzle skippers'. I can tell you that it's a real puzzle to determine this kind of butterflies photographed in unknown area's. If anybody know's a good book about Austrian butterflies, please let me know.

Hi Silvia,

bin auch mal auf die Suche gegangen und habe noch diesen gefunden: Pyrgus cacaliae (http://www.lepiforum.de/cgi-bin/lepiwiki.pl?Pyrgus_Cacaliae) Sieht ja auch ganz ähnlich aus *hm*
Auf der Seite gibt es auch ein angeschlossenes Forum. Dort könntest Du das Bild ja mal zur Bestimmung einstellen. Vielleicht klappt es ja ;)

Hi Alex,

danke für Deinen Eintrag! Das Lepiforum kenne ich obwohl es wieder ein paar Jahre her ist dass ich dort 'war'. Ich dachte, dass die Besucher meiner Webseite schlaue Schmetterlingskenner sind und veilleicht mal einen aktiven Beitrag liefern :-)
