Colias hyale - Pale Clouded Yellow - Gele luzernevlinder - Goldene Acht
The upperside of the male is pale yellow with triangular black wingitps and black borders that taper off towards the rear of the hindwing. There is a small amount of dark scaling at the base of the forewing and rather more on the hindwing. The female upperside is almost white, with dark markings like the male. The dark borders contain pale-yellow spots in both sexes. The male underside is bright yellow, with a row of black spots on the forewing. The underside of the female hindwing is bright yellow, but her forewing forewing is largely cream or white. Flight from May to Ocober in more broods. The larval foodplants include Lucerne, vetches and other leguminous species.
