Pseudophilotes baton - Baton Blue - Klein tijmblauwtje - Graublauer Bläuling
The male upperside is pale blue with a dark bar at the end of the cell. The female upperside is largely brown with a variable amount of purplish blue and some black spots on the hindwing. Both sexes have chequered fringes on the upperside and the underside is pale grey with black spots and an arc of orange spots. Flight from April till October in one or two broods. The Baton blue takes nectar for Wild Thyme and has a small flying area, he can be found in dry, sunny grassland and stony slopes from sea level until the mountains. The larval foodplant are Wild Thyme species.
