Pyrgus malvae - Grizzled Skipper - Aardbeivlinder - Aardbeidikkopje - Kleiner Würfeldickkopffalter
The ground colour of the upperside is black with a dusting of greyish scales near the wing-bases and strongly chequered with white on the fringes. Both wings carry conspicuous white spots. The underside is brownish or yellowish grey with white spots similar to those of the upperside. Flight from April to August in two broods in open grassland. The larval foodplants include Wild Strawberry, cinquefoils and other low growing members of the rose family.
