Koebosch
The Koebosch is an old deciduous forest from the 16th century and measures about 13 hectare. This old forest is situated near the creek Kleine Beerze which was retransformed in 2008. Characteristic for this forest is its marshy soil on which big ferns (Blechnum spicant), False lily of the valley (Maianthemum bifolium), various kinds of moss and mushrooms are growing. Also a lot of birds can be found in this forest. Every time when I ‘m visiting this forest I hear the noise of some Woodpeckers and the singing of Siskin’s.
On 10th July 2010 a storm (kind of hurricane) blew down a lot of trees on which trunks now beautiful mosses and fungi are growing.
