A warm welcome to my website about fascinating creatures. 

Here you will find detailed information about European butterflies and the photography of butterflies and other creatures.
Since my childhood I'm interested in nature, especially in insects and little creatures like spiders. Their look, behaviour and colours fascinates me every time I meet them and with my images I try to 'catch' this fascination. Did you ever see the 'birth' of a butterfly? If not, please view and enjoy the metamorphosises of various butterflies.
My mission with this website is to promote knowledge and understanding about butterflies (caterpillars particularly) and the importance of protecting their habitat.
The appearance and influence of butterflies and all other insects to our living planet is significant. Nature and our ecosystem is unique and we MUST be careful with it!
For more than two decades I am photographing butterflies and other treasures of planet earth. In that two decades a lot of habitats and species disappeared. For me, nature is a neverending source of inspiration and I hope that we can preserve it!

At the moment I'm still considering how I will set up this website as there are many possibilities. So this website will be under construction for a while as I have a lot of photos and ideas which I will share soon. I also have plans for photo workshops in combination with career development and personal coaching; but in the first place my focus is to complete the photo part of this website.
